Objective: |
Design 10 MGD well field |
Location: |
Mississippi River flood plain |
Test Holes: |
13 test holes with split spoon samples on 5-foot centers |
Piezometers: |
2-inch PVC installed in each test hold |
Test Pumping Well: |
18 inch PVC test pumping well |
Pump Test: |
7-day pump test at 2100 gpm |
Conclusion: |
Construct 1800 gpm wells to meet 10 MGP supply, wells must have 500 foot spacing to minimize interference |

Objective: |
|
Develop new 100,000 GPD capacity well field |
Test Holes: |
|
Four test holes were constructed to locate the area for the test pumping wells. Four additional test holes with 2-inch piezometers were constructed at the test well location split spoon sampling was performed on 5 foot intervals. |
Test Pumping Well: |
|
6-inch PVC test pumping well |
Pump Test: |
|
Two pump tests were performed. The initial 24-hgour test showed boundaries and a second 7-day test was required. |
Conclusion: |
|
Construct two 100 gpm wells at the site to meet demand |
